GTRC mission and CODE
Good Times Running Club - Our Mission
Running takes your body, mind and spirit to a better place.
The Good Times Running Club (GTRC) is a Gold Coast based running club with a diverse community of runners of all ages and abilities. Through training and participation in running events and social activities, we encourage and support our members to attain their running goals, foster a spirit of friendship, improve their well-being and give back to the local running community.
The aim of the GTRC is to build friendships, provide encouragement, and improve ourselves with no regard to age, cultural differences, gender, pace or experience. Our goal is to learn and grow through shared experience, and to leave no runner behind.
our promise
Good Times Running Club is dedicated to providing regular runs, programs and social activities that are aimed to keep runners doing what they love to do – RUN.
GTRC caters to a wide variety of fitness levels, from the walker to avid runner.
code of conduct
The Member Code of Conduct is created for the safety and benefit of GTRC, its members and guests.
The purpose of this policy is to set forth the basic principles of decency we expect members to follow so that members can achieve their running goals in a safe and fun environment.
As a GTRC member, you agree to:
- Respect, encourage and support other members
- Be kind to others
- Welcome new members and connect them into smaller groups based upon pace and ability
- Look after the other runners within your training group; if someone is struggling, check in with them and make sure that they are not left on their own.
- Speak positively of the group to others
- Never make unwanted verbal, sexual or physical contact with others
- Communicate any concerns with training/support or group dynamics to the president
- Respect pedestrians, cyclists, and other path/road users. Give way to others when necessary.
- Each member is a representative of GTRC; be mindful of your actions in public places, at events, and during training runs, as they may reflect on, and have negative consequences for, GTRC as a club.
- Members agree to abide by the GTRC Facebook Code of Conduct.
